International Volunteer Day, 5 December
International Volunteer Day mandated by the UN General Assembly, is held each year on 5 December. It is viewed as a unique chance for volunteers and organizations to celebrate their efforts, to share their values, and to promote their work among their communities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), United Nations agencies, government authorities and the private sector.
This year, volunteers of Multikultura marked this day, with a special video where they show their reason of volunteering and what motivates them to work for a better society.
Multikultura is blessed to have them and to work together in order to achieve our goals.
Successfully finished "Back to NGO basics" training course
As a partner organization of the training course Back to NGO basics, representatives of Multikultura participated in the training which was organized by EGD.
Through this seven day training, our representatives enhanced their knowledge about the civil sector, project development, team building, effectivity of NGOs and other crucial NGO segments to run a sustainable and successful organization.
Beside the training course "Back to NGO basics" our representatives had the chance to discuss about new partnerships.
Multikultura participates at the Closing event of the The Operational Programme for Human Resources Development 2007-2013
On December 4, the Executive Director of our organization, Mr.Vullnet Zenki participated at the Closing event of the The Operational Programme for Human Resources Development 2007-2013 (IPA Component IV).
This event was organized by the Operating Structure responsible for this component (Ministry of Labor and Social Policy - MLSP, Ministry of Education and Science – MES and Ministry of Finance -Central Financing and Contracting Department - CFCD/MF), in close coordination with the Delegation of European Union (DEU) and contractor ImagePR, in order to celebrate the programme closure and the achieved outcomes.
Despite this, our director had meeting with the Prime Minister Mr.Zoran Zaev, the EU ambassador Mr.Samuel Zhbogar and with the Minister of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Mila Canovska.
Multikultura is proud for the achieved results within the EPESI projects.
Peace Corps Volunteers organized the workshop "Be the change, see the difference"
On November 9, Peace Corps Volunteers developed a workshop about the importance of volunteering.
"Be the change, see the difference2 was the name of the workshop, where our volunteers and Peace Corps Volunteers had the chance to discuss about the importance of volunteering and about the ways to contribute for a better society.
Through this workshop, our volunteers understood how important is to get engaged in order to make changes.
Multikultura marks the day against Fascism and Antisemitism
Multikultura as a member organization of the UNITED Network, on 9th November marked the International Day against Fascism and Anti-Semitism. Together with our volunteers we watched parts of the documentary "The night of the broken glasses" in order they to get more informed about this topic and its importance. After this, through a discussion group, our volunteers had the chance to express their ideas about these historical story and how important is to leave in peace and stop these kinds of stories.
