“Building youth leadership through youth transformers action”

The main aim of this project is to train young people in leadership skills and empower them to take actions in areas relevant for themselves and the society as a whole. Besides training we will support the young participants in assessing their own needs and developing effective solutions to these needs.

The project will result in making young people ready to take the lead in creating their own future. These trained youth will initiate activities to further promote their rights as youth and their capability of judging what is right and what is needed for them in the society. Engaging young people in the complete project cycle will help nurture and encourage emerging youth leaders to learn, to lead, and to identify areas where their rights can be further supported or enhanced by their actions, as well as areas that may be of interest for future careers. Furthermore, inclusion of youth in implementation activities together with the community provides them with enhanced self-esteem, connection to peers and communities and a positive self-identity, all of which reduce vulnerability to joining violent movements or other destructive behavior.
