“Youth Activism Leading towards Coexisting of Diversities in the Community” 

“Youth Activism Leading towards Coexisting of Diversities in the Community” (14.12.2012 – 15.01.2014), was implemented by Multikultura and WCI Antiko and funded by the European Union. The main goal of this project was to contribute towards improving the role and activism of young people in the field of multiculturalism. The activities strengthen the capacities of young people and motivated them to improve their inter-ethnic coexistence in the community, as well as to become active stakeholders in overcoming the prejudices and stereotypes. The project results included: strengthened knowledge and skills of young trainers and high school students for practicing the multiculturalism in their communities, increased visibility of youth activism, established cooperation between youth groups and relevant subjects, multiplication of the best practices and positive experiences in the communities – raised initiatives for effective implementation of the Strategy for Integrated Education. Furthermore, the schools as a target group of the project as well, continued to be initiators and supporters of the process for incorporating the multiculturalism in the plans and programs of the schools.
